ITEM SUMMARY:
• A 45-minute, high-energy interactive traditional Zimbabwean music performance to be performed at Old Settlers Recreation Center on June 9, 2018, as part of the McKinney Cultural Music Series and the City of McKinney Parks & Recreation African Heritage Concert.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Outreach Grants provide financial assistance for the costs associated with a single project, or if the applicant is applying for the first time.
• Per Arts Grants Guidelines, Outreach Grants can pay up to 50% of eligible project expenses, not to exceed $3,000.
• Last year, approximately 100 attendees from McKinney and the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area, of all ages and backgrounds, were present.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The current balance of Outreach funds is $12,555.
