RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:

* Approval of the Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:

* This Resolution approves pre-qualified firms to provide architectural and engineering services related to the design and construction of multiple projects in the City of McKinney. In addition, this Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute professional services contracts not in excess of $50,000, with these firms, as needed.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

* The City of McKinney utilizes on-call professional services contracts to complete miscellaneous tasks.
* The City of McKinney issued a request for qualifications for architectural and engineering services related to the design and construction of multiple projects in the City of McKinney (RFQ18-16) in December 2017.
* Twenty-six (26) architectural and engineering firms submitted their statements of qualification information in response to RFQ18-16.
* The review and evaluation committee was composed of four (4) staff members from the Engineering, Parks, Public Works and Purchasing departments. The committee members reviewed and ranked the statements of qualifications based on the following criteria:
o Firm and individual qualifications
o Prior successful experience on public projects
o Capacity to perform the work
o Project management plan
o Knowledge of City of McKinney codes and ordinances
o References
