RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes an award of a fixed price contract with Lawn Star Landscape of McKinney, Texas and DWW Landscaping, LLC of McKinney, Texas
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Invitation to Bid 18-25FP Mowing and Grounds Maintenance Services on January 14, 2018.
o Advertised in McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 231 eBid Supplier Notifications
• In response to all notices published, seven (7) bids were received on February 1, 2018.
• An evaluation team comprised of three Parks Maintenance staff members reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o 50% Purchase Price
o 30% Reputation of the Bidder and of the Bidder’s Goods or Services verified through reference checks
o 20% Equipment
• The evaluation team recommends awarding Lawn Star Landscape the following:
Section A: Medians
Section A2: Right-of-Ways
Section B: Park Sites & Future Parks Sites, Line Item #6
Section C: Fire Stations & Public Safety
• Additionally, the evaluation team recommends awarding DWW Landscaping, LLC the following:
Section B: Park Sites & Future Parks Sites, all Line Items with the exception of Line Item #6.
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for a one (1) year period with two (2) one (1) year renewal options.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Contract value is an estimated $515,000 annually and is budgeted in account: 001-4306-453-8514.
