RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approve Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The library would like to apply for grant funds to purchase a scanner in order to digitize City and County local history as part of the Library’s Five Year Long Range Plan.

                     The library has a collaboration agreement with the Collin County History Museum and The North Collin County Genealogical Society to achieve the goals of the program.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The City of McKinney has received and successfully completed grants through the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) in previous years

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     The total project cost is estimated to be $37,036.11.  The grant will provide $35,000.  The remaining $2,036.11 will come from account # 018-8701-456.92-30.
