ITEM SUMMARY:

Produced and sponsored by McKinney Main Street, Arts In Bloom - a Celebration of Art and Wine, will take place in Historic Downtown McKinney April 13-15, 2018.  The event features national, regional and local artists set up on the tree-lined streets surrounding the McKinney Performing Arts Center. During the event the streets of downtown come alive with fascinating sights and sounds as fine artists, performance artists, musicians, Texas wineries, and food vendors took part in the three-day celebration.

MPAC is requesting a Project Grant of $2,000 to support Arts in Bloom.  The grant funding would provide for rental of a 20’ x 120’ tent, water barrels, lighting, and side walls to shelter local artists at work.

McKinney ISD art students were new participants in 2017, and the Arts Commission provided grant funds for rental of a tent for their use.  For 2018, an amount of $750 is requested for rental of a 20’ x 40’ tent with display fencing and lighting.  Funding to be channeled through MPAC.
