ITEM SUMMARY:
• Jump Into Art, represented by Magda Dia, is requesting reimbursement of an Outreach Grant to offer scholarships to students for classes, workshops, and camps.
• Approximately 65 students from McKinney attended.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Outreach Grants provide financial assistance for the costs associated with a single project, or if the applicant is applying for the first time.
• Per 2017 Arts Grants Guidelines approved by Council on October 4, 2016, Outreach Grants can pay up to 50% of eligible project expenses, not to exceed $3,000.
• Project request for a grant award of $3,000 was approved by the McKinney Arts Commission at its regular meeting on October 19, 2017.
