ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The By-Laws of the McKinney Urban Transit District (MUTD) Board call for the election of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary annually

                     Officers will be chosen from among the current members of the MUTD - the McKinney City Council, along with representatives from the cities of Celina, Princeton, Melissa, and Lowry Crossing

                     The Collin County Commissioner’s Court and the Town of Prosper are eligible to participate but currently do not have representatives to the Board

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The McKinney Urban Transit District was created pursuant to Chapter 458 of the Texas Transportation Code as a political subdivision of the State of Texas and the City of McKinney is a home rule municipal corporation

                     The City of McKinney and the McKinney Urban Transit District both have statutory authority to enter into an Interlocal Agreement outlining the rights and responsibilities of each party

                     The 2017 Officers:

o                     Brian Loughmiller, Chairman,

o                     Chuck Branch, Vice Chairman

o                     Tracy Rath, Secretary
