RECOMMENDED PARK BOARD ACTION:
* Approve the recommendation to Council.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This resolution will authorize a professional services contract with JBI Partners, Inc., to provide landscape architectural and engineering services related to the improvements of Finch Park in a contract amount of $142,000 and a design budget not to exceed $156,000.

* Scope of Services:
o Planning and Design $ 98,000
o Field and Geotech Services $ 41,000
o Reimbursable Expenses $ 3,000
o Contingency $ 14,000
Total $156,000

* The Finch Park Improvements will include but not be limited to:

o Accessible Concrete Trail Through the Park
o Additional Park Shelter
o Pedestrian Bridges
o Tennis Court Replacement
o Modifications to Existing Storm System
o Miscellaneous Improvements

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* JBI was selected from a list of pre - qualified landscape architectural firms that Council approved on February 14, 2016.

* JBI has worked with the Parks Department in the past on City hike and bike trails from a private sector capacity.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* The Finch Park Improvements Project (PK1211) is a FY17-18 Capital Improvements Program funded by Bonds, MCDC, and Parkland Dedication funds in an amount of $1,900,000.
