ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a Special Warranty Deed in the disposition of tax-delinquent vacant residential property held by all taxing entities being Lot 1B & 1D, Block 49, Shorts Addition, City of McKinney, Collin County, Texas. Property ID 1141927

* The City of McKinney has received an offer from Ismail Guyneydas to purchase property being Lot 1B & 1D, Block 49, Shorts Addition, City of McKinney, Collin County, Texas. Property ID 1141927

* A Special Warranty Deed prepared by City tax attorneys Abernathy, Roeder, Boyd & Hullett, P.C., begins the process for disposition of tax-delinquent property held by all taxing entities.

* This offer has been accepted by all the other taxing entities.


BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* This property was sold at a Sheriff's Sale on May 5, 2008 pursuant to delinquent tax collection suit number 219-131-06. There were no bidders and the property was struck off to the City for itself and on behalf of the other taxing jurisdictions.

* City Council approved this lot previously for sale on February 6, 2018 Agenda Item 18-119. That sale fell through.
* The property was acquired having been "struck off" to the taxing entities subsequent to a Sheriff's sale.
