APPROVAL PROCESS:
* Receive presentation and gain general consensus on the final elements of the ONE McKinney 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* Staff is pleased to present a draft of the ONE McKinney 2040 Comprehensive Plan to the Commission for review and discussion.
* The ONE McKinney 2040 Plan is comprised of the following sections:
* Chapter 1. The ONE McKinney 2040 Plan
* Chapter 2. Developing the ONE McKinney 2040 Plan
* Chapter 3. Citywide Land Use and Development Strategy
* Chapter 4. Citywide Mobility Strategy
* Chapter 5. Citywide Economic Development Strategy
* Chapter 6. Citywide Fiscal Health Strategy
* Chapter 7. Citywide Public Investment Strategy
* Chapter 8. Individual District Strategies
* Chapter 9. Implementation (in development - based on Council feedback)
* Appendix (still in development)
* A copy of this draft is currently posted on the ONE McKinney 2040 project website (www.onemckinney2040.com
) and an online survey is also currently available for the public to provide specific feedback on the key elements of the final draft document.
* In addition to review and discussion of the key elements of the plan, Staff also desires to receive Council feedback regarding the prioritization of implementation. Based on this discussion, the project team will finalize the Implementation Strategy for the plan.
* NEXT STEPS: Following tonight's discussion, Staff will make any necessary refinements or changes to the document in order to create a final version. Staff has also outlined the following proposed public hearing scheduled:
