ITEM SUMMARY:
• The Insurance Service Office and Texas Department of Insurance will make a presentation to the City Council of the award of the coveted public protection classification of 1/1Y.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The Fire Department and City were first awarded an ISO public protection classification of 1/10 effective May, 2014. The State of Texas since adopted an updated ISO grading schedule. The Fire Department, Water Department, and Public Safety Communications were regraded to this new schedule. A 1/1Y was maintained and will become effective November, 2018.
