RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approve Resolution

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a Special Warranty Deed in the disposition of tax-delinquent vacant residential property held by all taxing entities being Block G, Lot 1A, Shorts Addition, AKA 311 Wolfe Street, City of McKinney, Collin County, Texas.

* The City of McKinney has received an offer from Brittany Fast to purchase property being Block G, Lot 1A, AKA 311 Wolfe Street, Shorts Addition, City of McKinney, Collin County, Texas.

* A Special Warranty Deed prepared by City tax attorneys Abernathy, Roeder, Boyd & Hullett, P.C., begins the process for disposition of tax-delinquent property held by all taxing entities.

* This offer has been accepted by all the other taxing entities.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* This property was sold at a Sheriff's Sale on August 1, 2017 pursuant to delinquent tax collection suit number 417-01060-2015. There were no bidders and the property was struck off to the City for itself and on behalf of the other taxing jurisdictions.
* The property was acquired having been "struck off" to the taxing entities subsequent to a Sheriff's sale.


FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* The Housing and Community Development Department agrees to participate in the sale of the above mentioned property at a price not less than the combination of court costs, Constable fees, and cost of publication notices which total $2,277.16 and an amount not greater than $5,500.00.
