No Action Required - Presentation by the North Texas Municipal Water District

ITEM SUMMARY:

The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) will provide a presentation on a proposed new sewer main that would run primarily along the Wilson Creek corridor in McKinney.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The NTMWD’s 2015 Upper East Fork Interceptor System (UEFIS) evaluation identified the need for additional capacity to transfer flows from Western McKinney and Prosper to the Wilson Creek Lift Station.

The proposed pipeline is sized to meet the build-out projections for the cities to avoid additional future pipeline construction through the challenging corridor bounded by other utilities, parks, creeks, and developed areas.

The proposed pipeline would provide approximately 33,600 linear feet of limited-access interceptor, odor control facilities, and associated appurtenances to convey flow from a node on the McKinney-Prosper Interceptor south of U.S. Highway 380 to the Wilson Creek Lift Station.

The NTMWD anticipates a probable construction cost of approximately $31,000,000.
