RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Discuss and provide guidance on proposed Code Enforcement implementation of IPMC (International Property Maintenance Code) inspections.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• In addition to historically addressed code violations, staff proposes to conduct property maintenance inspections by addressing lack of customary exterior property maintenance.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Code Enforcement Staff proposes to inspect residential and commercial properties using the 2015 IPMC to address minor maintenance deficiencies early, to prevent deterioration from escalating.
