RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The City of McKinney provides School Resource Officers (SRO) to the Frisco Independent School District (FISD).
• There will be one (1) SRO assigned to FISD.
• The cost of the SROs is shared 50% to both FISD and the City of McKinney.
• The cost of one (1) fully equipped police pursuit vehicle is shared 50% to both FISD and the City of McKinney.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The prior contract, approved by Council on July 19, 2016, provided for has since expired requiring that a new contract be signed and executed.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• FISD will pay the contract amount of $62,567 for the 2018-2019 School Resource Officer Program.
