ITEM SUMMARY:
• This presentation will highlight three (3) community partner groups that work with the Parks & Recreation Department to enhance our parks system, trails and open space areas. These groups include: Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney, the McKinney Garden Club, and the McKinney Parks Foundation.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The 2017 Master Plan calls for identifying and growing partnerships with various organizations, non-profits in particular, to enhance our parks and recreation offerings and operations.
• A representative from each of the groups will make a short presentation that will speak to the history and mission of their respective organizations and how they work to improve our community.
• The purpose of this item is to acknowledge and celebrate past and ongoing efforts, as well as identify additional opportunities to strengthen our relationships going forward.
