ITEM SUMMARY:

  • On May 30, 2018, the MUTD accepted $106,678 in FTA Section 5339 funding also known as the Bus and Bus Facilities Infrastructure Investment Program
  • Eligible expenses include but are not limited to: the acquisition of buses for fleet and service expansion, bus maintenance and administrative facilities, transfer facilities, bus rebuilds, bus overhauls, and accessories and miscellaneous equipment
  • To fully utilize the existing two buses, it is strongly recommended that a “replacement” bus be available in case one of the buses must be pulled from service
  • Staff is seeking Board approval to purchase a bus to supplement the existing two buses

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:                      

•                     Requires a 15% match

•                     State grant funds will be utilized to cover the match
