ITEM SUMMARY:
• On January 31, 2018, the Board approved a 12-month pilot program (April 1, 2018 - March 31, 2019) that would extend Collin County Transit to include lower income individuals
• Since the program’s inception, 20 participants have been qualified for the pilot with 14 participants frequently riding totaling 186 trips
• Staff is seeking Board direction on whether or not to make low-income an eligibility criteria moving forward or limit it to only Elderly and Disabled
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• At the MUTD meeting on August 30, 2017, the Board directed staff to work with participating MUTD cities and develop a proposal analysis for different subsidy options for low income individuals
