ITEM SUMMARY:

                     On January 31, 2018, the Board approved a 12-month pilot program (April 1, 2018 - March 31, 2019) that would extend Collin County Transit to include lower income individuals

                     Since the program’s inception, 20 participants have been qualified for the pilot with 14 participants frequently riding totaling 186 trips

                     Staff is seeking Board direction on whether or not to make low-income an eligibility criteria moving forward or limit it to only Elderly and Disabled

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:                      

                     At the MUTD meeting on August 30, 2017, the Board directed staff to work with participating MUTD cities and develop a proposal analysis for different subsidy options for low income individuals
