RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

•    Approve the attached Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

•    The project, approved by City Council on August 16, 2016 (AI 16-826), approved the application for and acceptance of a grant for the purchase of Advance Warning Stations for high water crossings.

                     The original project was for the purchase of two (2) early warning stations (4 units).  The revised project is for the purchase of three (3) early warning stations (6 units).

                     The original project cost was approximately $140,000. The revised project cost is $152,765.26

                     The original cost to the City was $70,640.  The revised cost to the City is $77,340

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The attached Interlocal Agreement defines McKinney’s role as subrecipient of funds for implementation of the provisions of the NCTCOG Early Flood Warning Detection Project (“Project”) funded by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) planning grant to develop an early flood warning system.
