* This Resolution authorizes an award of a fixed price contract with Ferguson Enterprises Inc. dba Ferguson Waterworks of Euless, Texas for Water and Wastewater Parts and Supplies.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The City issued Invitation to Bid 19-13FP Water and Wastewater Parts and Supplies on November 18, 2018.
o Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 263 matching eBid Supplier Notification
* Purchasing received one (1) bid on December 6, 2018 from Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. dba Ferguson Waterworks of Euless, Texas.
* The evaluation team of three staff members comprised from the Public Works and Meter Services Departments reviewed the bid response based on the following criteria:
o 40%: Purchase Price
o 20%: Stocked Inventories Maintained by Bidder
o 20%: Delivery Time
o 20%: Reputation of the Bidder and of the Bidders Goods and Services through Verified Reference Check.
* The price on the most commonly purchased parts and supplies were compared to four (4) local government agencies who currently have term contracts for water and wastewater parts to ensure pricing received is competitive.
* The evaluation team has determined Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. dba Ferguson Waterworks of Euless, Texas the best value provider.
* Ferguson Waterworks is the incumbent provider and has provided water and wastewater parts to the City for many years.
