RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of the Resolution.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with PSI to provide construction materials testing related to the John and Judy Gay Library Expansion & Renovation located at 6861 W. Eldorado Parkway, McKinney, Texas 75070

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     PSI is a geotechnical, engineering and construction materials testing firm with an office in McKinney.  PSI is also one of the top three geotechnical and construction material testing firms determined to be the most qualified by the City of McKinney and has submitted a proposal with an estimate for their professional services in the amount of $50,228.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     This Resolution authorizes a contract with PSI for an amount not to exceed $55,228 which includes a contingency of $5,000.

 

                     Funding for this contract is available in the Capital Improvements Program Project LI1609.

 

                     With the approval of this item and the companion agenda items, the total project budget remaining for the John and Judy Gay Library Project (LI1609) will be $1,056,011.
