• Texas Parks & Wildlife contacted the City and requested a modification to the language in the Resolution to ensure that the tennis complex land was conveyed and dedicated to the City “only for City park or City recreational uses”.

• The Parks and Recreation Department is requesting grant assistance in the amount of $750,000.
• This funding program requires a 50% match from the City.
• Project funding will come from two primary sources. The first is private investment from our contracted operator, Lifetime Tennis. The second is the Gabe Nesbitt Tennis Expansion Project (PK4396) that is an active Capital Improvements Program funded by Parkland Dedication Funds Zone 3 and MCDC funding.
• The application submission deadline to Texas Parks & Wildlife was October 1, 2018, with an award announcement in spring of 2019.
