ITEM SUMMARY:
• The Board will vote on spending $500 for Individual Hole Sponsorship (Sign at the Hole)
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• VFW Post 2150 (501c19 Nonprofit) hosts a yearly golf tournament in which proceeds will be used to assist the Military, Veterans, and their families. VFW Post 2150 will also use the proceeds for community activities in Collin County, Texas such as donating funds to the McKinney Armed Services Memorial Board and Park.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The total budget for the McKinney Armed Memorial Services Board is $6000. There is $1304 remaining in the budget after paying expenses for the November 2018 Veterans Day Ceremony. The cost for the Individual Hole sponsor/VFW Golf Tournament is $500.
BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
• The recommendation is to approve the $500 Sponsor expense in order to continue to develop the partnership between the City of McKinney Armed Services Memorial Board and the VFW Post 2150 seated in McKinney.
