ITEM SUMMARY:
• Two 45-minute sets of high-energy interactive traditional Zimbabwean music performance to be performed at Bonnie Wenk Park on June 15, 2019, as a part of the McKinney Cultural Music Series and the City of McKinney Parks & Recreation African Heritage Concert.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Outreach Grants provide financial assistance for the costs associated with a single project, or if the applicant is applying for the first time.
• Per Arts Grants Guidelines, Outreach Grants can pay up to 50% of eligible project expenses, not to exceed $3,000.
• For the past two years, approximately 100 attendees from McKinney and the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area, of all ages and backgrounds, were present.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• With approval of this item, the balance of Outreach funds will be $2,000.
