ITEM SUMMARY:
• On October 18, 2018, a reimbursable $3,000 Project Grant to help fund a Teen Art Show was approved by the McKinney Arts Commission.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The art show took place on January 23-26, 2019 at The Cove Gallery in McKinney. An awards show was held on January 27, 2019.
• A total of 15 pieces of art by 11 artists were displayed during the show. Four of the artists were from McKinney schools.
• The $3,000 grant request was based on participation of 100 applicants with 200 pieces of art.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Reimbursement funds were allocated from McKinney Arts Commission Project Grant Funds.
• Actual expenses after revenues were $832.96. Staff is recommending a reimbursement of $1,000 from Project Grant funds.
• $4,665 will remain in Project Funds if this request is approved.
