RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approve the Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Drainage improvements are necessary to correct erosion issues on the airfield adjacent to the Runway Safety Area.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The City of McKinney intends to request financial assistance from the Texas Department of Transportation for these improvements. TxDOT has programmed the project in its 2019 Aviation Capital Improvement Program.                                          

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Total Project costs are estimated to be $400,000. The City will be responsible for10% of the total project costs, currently estimated to be $40,000.

 

                     Funds are budgeted for FY2019 in the Airport Construction Fund CIP project AI1742, Stormwater Erosion Mitigation Design & Construction project.
