RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:

                     Receive presentation and discuss issues related to the development and planning of the Capital Improvements Program specifically related to future infrastructure.

 

ITEM SUMMARY:

                     The Engineering Department is currently developing the five-year Capital Improvement Program for FY20-24 relating to the City’s infrastructure needs.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

                     The Capital Improvement Program is a five-year plan for major capital projects, including all probable funding sources for the period.

                     The plan provides a working blueprint for sustaining and improving the community’s infrastructure while supporting the strategic goal of Direction for Strategic & Economic Growth and Financially Sound Government.

                     Each year the City Council reviews the five-year capital project plan and funds the first year of the plan as part of the annual budget process.

                     The Engineering Department is currently developing the five-year Capital Improvement Program for FY20-24 relating to the City’s infrastructure needs.
