                     No action required - discussion only

 

ITEM SUMMARY:

                     The City of McKinney and McKinney Main Street have received a proposal for temporary valet services in the Historic Downtown McKinney Cultural District.

 

                     The valet program would launch Saturday, June 1, 2019 and conclude on Saturday, August 31, 2019.

 

                     The proposed valet station would be established next to McKinney Performing Arts Center on Louisiana Street and utilize approximately 100 public parking spaces in addition to private parking spaces offered by businesses.

 

                     Consumer responsible for fees associated with valet service.

 

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

                     Valet services have been offered by private businesses in Downtown McKinney for the past 12 years. This program would expand service to any visitor within the district. With the addition of lots and parking structures, there is underutilized inventory to accommodate valet parking.
