RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution establishes the times for the reduced speed school zones at the following schools for the 2019 summer school sessions:
? McKinney High School
? Scott Johnson Middle School
? Malvern Elementary School
* The summer session at McKinney High School will begin July 9, 2019, and will end July 25, 2019. School will be in session from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday.
* The summer session at Scott Johnson Middle School will begin June 5, 2019, and will end June 27, 2019. School will be in session from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday through Thursday.
* The summer session at Malvern Elementary School will begin June 5, 2019, and will end June 27, 2019. School will be in session from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday through Thursday.
* For arrival, the reduced speed school zone will be effective beginning 45 minutes before the beginning of the summer session for the day and end 15 minutes after the beginning of school. For dismissal, the reduced speed school zone will be effective 15 minutes before the dismissal of the summer session for the day and will end 45 minutes after dismissal of school. The active times for the summer school speed zones are consistent with the durations used during the regular school year.
