RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approve the Resolution and authorize the City Manager to execute the Artist Contract and the related License Agreement.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* Jeffrey Hull, community volunteer, Vice Chair of the Arts Commission and President of the Pecan Grove Cemetery Association, passed away on May 28, 2018.
* As a tribute to Commissioner Hull's public service, the Arts Commission would like to fund a sculpture bench in Pecan Grove Cemetery, as part of a monarch butterfly garden that he and Martha Cavazos-Fipps were working on at the time of his death.
* The professional services contract with Brian Keith for the sculpture bench is attached.
* The cost of the sculpture bench will be $27,000 plus approximately $1,500 installation fee.
* At the April 18, 2019 meeting, the Arts Commission approved an expenditure of $13,500 toward the sculpture bench. The remaining funds will be fundraised from the community.
* Attached is the License Agreement with Pecan Grove outlining City and Pecan Grove responsibilities for the five year license agreement period.
* The sculpture bench will automatically be de-commissioned on October 1, 2025 and donated to Pecan Grove Cemetery.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* On November 6, 2018, City Council approved the expenditure to Brian Keith to create a model for the Mitchell Park Sculpture.
