RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of Resolution.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $135,400, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Kimley-Horn for professional consulting engineering services for the 2019 Citywide Traffic Count Program, for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $148,500.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The City of McKinney produces a Citywide traffic count map on a biennial schedule.  The development of this map requires the collection of traffic data, data processing and verification, and the population of data tables for import into the City’s GIS system

                     Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. submitted a response to 18-02RFQ for Traffic Engineering Services for Various Projects.  They were one of eleven firms approved by City Council on January 16, 2018.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     This Resolution authorizes a contract with Kimley-Horn for an amount not to exceed $148,500.

                     Funds are available in the operating budget of the Engineering Department, Traffic Control section ($148,500).
