ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to enter into a Local Project Advance Funding Agreement (LPAFA) with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the Installation of Continuous Roadway Illumination Along US 380 (University Drive) from 550 feet West of Bois D' Arc Road to 525 feet West of the US 75 Southbound Frontage Road.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The City of McKinney applied for this roadway illumination project in response to the TxDOT call for projects for the 2018 Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP).
* This project was selected and awarded to the City of McKinney under the 2018 Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) program.
* This item authorizes the City Manager to execute a Local Project Advance Funding Agreement (LPAFA) with the State for participation in and funding of the project.
* A project map and a detailed breakdown of the project budget estimate and funding sources are attached for reference.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* Design costs in an amount of $43,705.00 for this project are to be funded 100 percent by the City.
* Construction costs for this project are to be funded 100 percent by the State using a combination of State and Federal funds.
