RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* In order to ensure that as many interested parties as possible are aware of an update to the Land Use Assumptions, Staff is requesting that City Council pass a Resolution setting the date for a Public Hearing to consider approval of the Land Use Assumptions for the 2018-2019 Impact Fee Update. In accordance with State Law, Staff will also post a 30 day legal notice announcing the Public Hearing date.

* The requested date for the Public Hearing is the September 17, 2019 City Council meeting.

* In addition, State Law states that the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee is required to provide written comments about the Land Use Assumptions to the City Council prior to Council action on the Land Use Assumptions.

* The Land Use Assumptions will be considered at the August 27, 2019 Capital Improvements Advisory Committee meeting and the minutes of that meeting will serve as the written comments. The approved meeting minutes will be forwarded to the City Council at the September 17, 2019 meeting.

* As required by Chapter 395 of the Texas Local Government Code, Staff will also posted a draft of the Land Use Assumptions Report on the City of McKinney website for public review and comment.
