RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This Resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract with OKTEX Utility Construction of Royse City, Texas for the purchase of Mowing and Cleanup Services for Street Right of Way (ROW) Locations, to be used on an as needed basis.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The City issued Invitation to Bid 19-52FP Mowing and Cleanup Services for Street Locations on June 23, 2019.

o                     Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette

o                     Posted on McKinney TV

o                     553 matching eBid Supplier Notifications

                     Out of 553 supplier notifications, three (3) bids were received on July 18, 2019.

                     An evaluation team comprised of three (3) City employees reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:

o                     40 Points: Price and Best Value

o                     30 Points: Reputation of the Bidder and of the Bidder’s Services verified through References

o                     30 Points: Capacity to Perform Work verified through Equipment and Personnel List

                     The evaluation team recommends awarding OKTEX Utility Construction as the best value for the City.

                     Contract will commence on date of award and continue for a one (1) year period with two (2) one (1) year renewal options.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Funding for these services are currently budgeted in the Street department mowing accounts.
