RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approve Resolution to redirect $9,578 in unspent funds from FY19 Arts Commission budget to the FY19 Public Art Fund balance

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     In FY19, the City Council allocated $200,000 to the McKinney Arts Commission to further the Arts Commission mission “to create a vibrant and viable arts community in which diverse, high quality arts opportunities are available to McKinney residents and visitors.”

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     City Council approved Resolution 2013-11-107(R) which stated “that any unspent funds allocated annually to the Arts Commission for support of the Arts in McKinney may be redirected to the Public Art Fund”

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     There are $9,578 in unspent FY19 Arts Commission funds that may be redirected to the Public Art Fund, with City Council approval.

                     At their October 17, 2019 meeting, the McKinney Arts Commission recommended redirecting $9,578 in unspent FY19 Arts Commission Funds to the Public Art Fund
