ITEM SUMMARY:
• The Resolution authorizes funds to be made available during the CIP process to provide the required matching funds for a grant from the State of Texas to extend the Runway 18/36.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The Airport Master Plan recommends extending the Runway 18/36 approximately 1,500 feet to accommodate future growth. The State of Texas has programed $15,000,000 for the project in its 2020-2021 biennial budget.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Matching funds of $78,920 for the design have already been appropriated in the FY20 CIP budget in Project AI2037.
• The remaining match of $1,587,746 for construction will be programmed in the FY21 CIP budgeting process.
