ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Teatro Dallas is seeking a $4,500 Project Grant funding for their “Tlali: When We Were Earth” performances.  There will be three performances for elementary youth:  February 20, 2020 at Caldwell Elementary School; March 5, 2020 at Old Settlers Recreation Center; March 14, 2020 at Roy and Helen Hall Library.

                     The theme of the show addresses ecology and conservation in an interactive way for audiences of all ages. 

                     The production is formatted to share Latin American culture with McKinney residents.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     Project Grants provide financial assistance for the costs associated with a single project, or if the applicant is applying for the first time.

                     Per Arts Grants Guidelines, Projects Grants can pay up to 50% of eligible project expenses, not to exceed $10,000.

                     Teatro Dallas has received grants in previous years, successfully completing all requirements of the grant program.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Upon approval, funding will come from the Special Project Grant budget for 2019-2020. 

                     The balance in the Project Fund is $10,000
