ITEM SUMMARY:
• As per City Council Resolution 2018-10-119®, the McKinney Arts Commission awarded a FY19 Art Grant of $9,000 to Junior Players Guild.
• Junior Players Guild presented 45 after-school sessions to MISD students, with a combined total attendance of 350 participants.
• Twenty-five sessions were presented at Old Settler’s Recreation Center and twenty sessions were held at the McKinney Community Center.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Annual Art Grants provide financial assistance for up to 50% of the eligible expenses associated with annual projects.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• 70% of the $9,000 grant was awarded to the organization at the beginning of the fiscal year. Upon approval of the Final Report by the Arts Commission, the remaining 30% ($2,700) will be awarded.
• Junior Players Guild reported actual expenses of $18,678.
