ITEM SUMMARY:
• As per City Council Resolution 2018-10-119®, the McKinney Arts Commission awarded a FY19 Art Grant of $6,800 to Friends of the McKinney Public Library.
• Friends of the McKinney Public Library presented eleven free events with a combined total attendance of 750 participants.
• Performances were presented at Collin College, MPAC, and John and Judy Gay Library.
• Book reviews were held at the Hall and Gay libraries.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Annual Art Grants provide financial assistance for up to 50% of the eligible expenses associated with annual projects.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• 70% of the $6,800 grant ($4,760) was awarded to the organization at the beginning of the fiscal year.
• Friends of the McKinney Public Library reported actual expenses of $12,414. Since grants pay up to 50% of these expenses, the maximum payment allowed for this organization is $6,207.
• Upon approval of the Final Report by the Arts Commission, the remaining $1,447 will be awarded.
