RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Elect members to serve in the positions of Board Chair and Vice Chair
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The board will elect a Chair and Vice Chair to serve a one-year term, beginning January 1, 2020.
• Vice President Scott Elliott is recognized as chair for this meeting on November 5, 2019, in the absence of a board chair. The office of Chair is currently vacant.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Ordinance 2011-07-046, adopted by City Council on July 19, 2011, states:
“Each year the City Council shall annually designate one (1) member of the Board of Directors to serve as chairman for a one (1)-year term that begins on January 1 of the following year. The Board of Directors shall elect from its members a vice chairman to preside in the absence of the chairman or when there is a vacancy in the office of chairman.”
• Current Boards officers are:
Chair Vacant, most recently occupied by former member Tracy Rath
