RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Staff recommends approval of the Ordinance.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Annual Budget and the 2020-2024 Capital Improvements Program for the North Public Works Complex Project (FC2058) for a total project of $14,250,000

* The Fiscal Year 2019-2020 budget will be amended by transferring various fund balances to the Facilities Improvement Fund for appropriation in the project:
o $1,000,000 - Water/Wastewater Fund
o $350,000 - Surface Water Drainage Fund
o $1,000,000 - Solid Waste Fund
o $1,000,000 - Utility Construction Fund
o Project appropriation of $3,350,000 in the Facilities Improvement Fund

* In addition, the 2020-2024 Capital Improvements Program will be amended by transferring $10,900,000 of previously issued bonds from the Public Works Facility Expansion project (FC1202) to the North Public Works Complex project (FC2058)

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The property at 3501 North Central Expressway consists of approximately 66,000 square feet (SF) and includes a 28,500 SF shop, an 8,500 SF warehouse and around 29,000 SF of potential office space situated on almost 10 acres.
* The property was built in 2009 and was recently made available for purchase.
