RECOMMENDED PARK BOARD ACTION:
* Approval of the Recommendation.

ITEM SUMMARY:

* This agenda item will authorize a professional services contract with Dunaway Associates, L.P., to provide planning and landscape architectural services for an update to the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan and Hike and Bike Trails Plan.

* The current Parks Master Plan was adopted in 2017. Typically, master plans are updated every 3-5 years, and with the growth that McKinney is experiencing Staff is proposing an update for 2020. This also includes an update to the Trails Master Plan.

* The current master plan recommends 10 parks that are in need of refreshing and renovating. Of those 10 parks listed Staff has either renovated or will soon be renovating 9 of them.

* This update will focus on a Priority Ranking Analysis, Action Plan, Implementation Plan and Hike and Bike Trails Plan.
