ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Ed Construction Company for the Construction of the Country Lane Extension Project (ST4372) for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,950,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Garver, LLC prepared the construction plans for the Country Lane Extension Project (ST4372).
* The project includes the remaining required reconstruction of Airport Drive (previously Country Lane) as a 4-lane (6-lane ultimate) divided principal arterial at the connection with Harry McKillop Boulevard (FM 546).
* The project also includes a reconstruction at the intersection of Airport Drive and Wettley Way, as well as intersection of Airport Road and Industrial Boulevard to address maintenance needs along the corridor. A southbound right turn lane will be constructed at Airport Road and Industrial Boulevard intersection.
* Four (4) bids were received for this project on December 19, 2019. The following is a summary of the bids:
