CITY COUNCIL RECOMMENDATION:
* Approve the Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
* The City of McKinney, along with the three (3) other CDBG "Entitlement" cities in Collin County, received CARES Act Funding, through Collin County, from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
* The total funding allocated to the County for the Emergency Housing and Living Assistance (EHLA) Program is $45M.
* Emergency Housing & Living Assistance Program provides funding for mortgage, rental, utility and food assistance to Collin County residents earning up to 200% of Area Median Income (AMI).
* The first allocation of $30M was divided among the four (4) cities, based on population. The City of McKinney received an initial allocation of $6,889,619.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) were received from fifteen (15) agencies wishing to administer EHLA Program Grant funds for eligible Collin County residents.
* A deliberations meeting was held with the Grant Committee to review RFQs received and determine proposed agencies that would serve residents within Collin County zip codes areas.
* The agencies listed below will administer EHLA Program Grant funds on behalf of the City of McKinney for residents residing in one of the following zip codes: 75048, 75069, 75070, 75071, 75072, 75409, 75424, 75454.
