RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to the professional consulting services contract to provide project management and owner's representation services related to the John and Judy Gay Library Expansion and Renovation Project (JJGL-E&R) located at 6861 W. Eldorado Parkway in McKinney, Texas.
* Because of unanticipated project construction delays due to COVID-19 and other subcontractor delays, the City requested that 720 Design, Inc. submit a proposal to continue to provide project management and owner's representation services related to the expansion and renovation of the John and Judy Gay Library.
* 720 Design, Inc. submitted a proposal to continue and complete their professional services in the amount of $17,825 for JJGL-E&R which with a $1,775 contingency would bring their total contract amount to $69,200.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* 720 Design, Inc. is a professional consulting firm based in Dallas, Texas and has been the Owner's Representative of record on multiple successful City of McKinney projects, including the JJGL-E&R to date.
