ITEM SUMMARY:

This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to move forward with the selection of a completion contractor to finish the construction of the incomplete FBO terminal located at 1508 Industrial Blvd at the McKinney National Airport, McKinney, Texas.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The prior building owner, Western TKILeasing, LLC, filed for bankruptcy protection, abandoned and left incomplete the FBO Terminal at the McKinney National Airport.

The FBO Terminal has remained in an unfinished state for a significant period of time and exposed materials are becoming seriously degraded and damaged; loose and unprotected materials also pose a threat to become foreign object debris (FOD) on airport aprons and movement areas becoming a hazard to aircraft.

A companion agenda item associated with this project will be presented for consideration allowing for pre-construction services.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:

The TKI Executive Terminal project is included in the FY20 Capital Improvements Program Project AI1744.

The current balance of the project is $905,354.95 with a planned FY2020 CO debt issuance of $8 million dollars.
