RECOMMENDED PARK BOARD ACTION:
• Approve the submission of a $5.5 million grant application to MCDC
ITEM SUMMARY:
• MCDC is a primary funding source for parks and recreation projects through their annual grant program.
• A joint meeting was held in May between the MCDC and Park Board to discuss potential funding and projects.
• The grant application will be presented to the MCDC board at their July meeting.
• Staff is requesting approval to submit a grant for $5.5 million.

o The 2017 Park Master Plan
o Council goals
o MCDC, Parks Board and staff priorities
o Projects identified in the 2019 Bond Election
