ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract with Jerry Carpenter Excavation of Allen, Texas for the Mowing and Cleanup Services for Dams, to be used on an as needed basis.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Invitation to Bid 20-39FP Mowing and Cleanup Services for Dams on June 7, 2020.
o Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 144 matching eBid Supplier Notifications
• Out of 144 supplier notifications, four (4) bids were received on June 25, 2020.
• A committee comprised of staff from the Drainage and Street Department, reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o 40 Points: Price and Best Value
o 30 Points: Capacity to Perform Work verified through Equipment List, Personnel List and Number of Years Experience
o 30 Points: Reputation of the Respondent and of the Respondent’s Services verified through References
• Based on the results of the evaluation process, the evaluation team has recommended the award of this contract go to the highest evaluated respondent, Jerry Carpenter Excavation.
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for a one (1) year period with two (2) one (1) year renewal options.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding for these services are currently budgeted in the Drainage account 006-4505-503-8516.
