RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with “BEST” and “EPS” for Medical Direction and Related Services.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The current agreement to provide medical direction expires October 21, 2020.

                     “BEST” provided overall medical direction for the past 5 years and medical direction for the novel Community Healthcare Program for the past 7 years.

                     “EPS” provided medical direction to the Fire Department for a number of years prior to “BEST.”

                     Both entities working together provides a greater opportunity to capitalize on the synergy for emergency medical services and innovative out of hospital medical programs.

 

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     The Fire Department programmed in $150,000.00 for these services in the FY21 operating budget.
