RECOMMENDED ACTION:
• Discuss the master plan for each park.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The consultant team from Dunaway will present master plans for Murphy Park, Mary Will Craig Park, Wattley Park and North Park.
• The master plans reflect feedback received through an on-line public input process whereby 2-3 concept plan options were presented for comment and voting.
o Wattley received 8 survey responses.
o Mary Will Craig received 216 survey responses.
o Murphy received 54 survey responses
o Northpark received 6 survey responses
• After these are presented to the board and placed on the city’s website for viewing, Staff will begin to weigh priorities/needs/costs among the various master plans that have recently been completed and determine which ones will move into design for anticipated construction.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Dunaway was awarded a contract in January of this year to develop a master plan vision, cost projection and implementation strategy for Murphy, Mary Will Craig, Wattley, and North Park.
